The mission of The Coalition for Returning Citizens (TCRC) is to reduce the recidivism rate by bridging the re-entry gap through after care services. TCRC’s aim is to produce after care services for housing, clothing, food, workforce and life-skills training, community-based church placement, educational support, and peer directed services. These after care services promote a healthy transition into the local community and society.

The purpose of providing after care resources and support for returning citizens is to assist in the re-entry process and reduce the rate of recidivism in the Maryland Criminal Justice System. To help ex-offenders re-integrate back into their community and society, the Coalition will provide connections to available resources and support to include but is not limited to preparation for employment, referrals for personal needs such as housing, clothing and food, connection to a community-based church and faith mentor, life-skills training and educational support.
